Salahdine Parnasse needed just one round to announce himself, stopping Dan Hooker in the main event of UFC Fight Night in Paris on Saturday. It was Parnasse's first fight inside the Octagon. Below is what happened in every fight on the card.
The main event
Parnasse walked in as a -625 favorite despite having never fought in the UFC, a betting line built on his 23-2 record and a reputation as one of the best free agents outside the promotion. He backed it up immediately.
The French southpaw pressed forward from the opening bell with leg kicks and combinations, then hurt Hooker badly with a body kick. He followed it with a head kick that pinned Hooker to the fence, then closed the show with a clean left hand at 2:35 of round one. Hooker, a 14-year UFC veteran making his 27th appearance in the promotion, never found the range to make his own durability and experience count.
Parnasse called out Max Holloway in his post-fight interview — an ambitious ask for a fighter one bout into his UFC run, but a sign of how little the occasion seemed to faze him in front of his home fans.
The rest of the main card
Axel Sola def. Farès Ziam, KO/TKO (punches), round 1, 1:40. The co-main event was an all-French crossroads fight, and Sola came out on top as a +125 underdog. He faked a takedown to draw a reaction, ate a clean elbow from Ziam in the exchange, and answered with a counter left hook that put Ziam out instantly. It's Sola's second straight first-round finish.
Michael Page def. Nursulton Ruziboev, decision (unanimous), round 3. All three judges scored it 29-28 in what both sides called a lackluster fight. Ruziboev controlled top position early without doing much damage; Page's cleaner striking at range, including a stomp kick to the knee, was enough to close out his UFC contract with a win.
Daniil Donchenko def. Punahele Soriano, decision (unanimous), round 3. Scores of 30-27, 30-27 and 29-28 for the Ultimate Fighter Season 33 winner, who hurt Soriano early and outlanded him for two rounds before Soriano's third-round grappling arrived too late to move the cards. It's Donchenko's ninth straight win.
Kurtis Campbell def. Trevor Peek, submission (rear-naked choke), round 3, 3:07. Campbell dominated the grappling exchanges across all three rounds, landing a featherweight-record 13 takedowns before locking in the finish — the first time Peek, a career striker, has ever been stopped or submitted.
Losene Keita def. Muhammad Naimov, KO/TKO (punch), round 1, 2:54. Keita erased a rough UFC debut with a highlight-reel finish, rocking Naimov with a jab before putting him out cold with a looping right hand, then hopping the cage wall to celebrate from a front-row seat.

The biggest upset of the night happened on the undercard, not the main card. Pavel Andrusca, an undefeated Moldovan making his UFC debut on less than a week's notice, out-wrestled four-fight-win-streak veteran Nathaniel Wood over three rounds despite going off as a +240 underdog. Wood dropped him with a right hand in round two, but Andrusca answered with a takedown and an arm-triangle threat, then pinned Wood against the fence in the third to steal the scorecards. Modestas Bukauskas pulled a similar upset one fight earlier, surviving a brutal first round in which Oumar Sy nearly finished him on the ground, before a clinch knee and follow-up punches ended Sy's homecoming in the second. And two UFC debutants made immediate statements: Matthieu Duclos caught a charging Luis Felipe Dias with a counter left hand for a first-round finish in front of his home fans, and Delphine Benouaich, a Ultimate Fighter Season 34 semifinalist, hurt Sofia Montenegro standing before submitting her to open the card.
What it means
Parnasse's debut was as convincing a first impression as the UFC has gotten from a free-agent signing in years — a finish, on the road (for the UFC, if not for him personally), against an opponent with championship-rounds experience against nearly every ranked lightweight of the past decade. Hooker's own path forward is murkier: it's a third straight loss, all three by stoppage, and a fighter who built a career on durability now has to answer questions about whether that durability is fading at 36. Elsewhere, the card leaned toward chaos — three underdogs won on the main card and undercard combined, and two of the four UFC debutants on the show left with statement finishes.
