The Fight Brief is a reader-supported MMA site. There are no accounts, no logins, and no comment sections, so there is very little to collect and we have chosen to collect as little as possible.
What we collect
Analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages people read. It is cookieless: it does not set cookies, does not store your IP address, and does not build a profile of you or follow you across other websites. It records the page visited, a referring site if there is one, and coarse details like country, device type and browser.
Server logs. Our host, Vercel, keeps standard technical logs needed to serve and secure the site.
Email you send us. If you write to us we keep the message so we can reply. That is the only place we hold anything you would recognise as personal information, and only because you sent it.
What we don’t collect
No cookies. No advertising or tracking pixels — specifically no Meta, TikTok or similar trackers. No Google Analytics. No account data, no payment data, no location data. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we never have.
Who else is involved
Two service providers process data on our behalf: Vercel (hosting and analytics) and Google Workspace (our email). No third party collects personally identifiable information about your activity on this site over time or across other sites.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. We do not respond to it differently, because we do not track you across sites in the first place — there is nothing for the signal to switch off.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Reviewing or changing your information
Because we do not hold accounts, there is normally nothing of yours to review. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence corrected or deleted, write to editor@thefightbrief.com and we will handle it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the effective date above and, for anything material — such as adding advertising or a newsletter — post a clear notice on this page. Our practices will change if we introduce those things, and this page will change first.
