Edson Barboza vs. Esteban Ribovics
UFC 330 · August 15, 2026 · Xfinity Mobile Arena
Ribovics throws nearly twice Barboza's volume, and Barboza's durability has faded badly — he was stopped inside a round by Jalin Turner in December. The Brazilian is still dangerous early with leg kicks and counters, and if anyone can crack Ribovics's chin it's him. But the smart money says Ribovics's pace overwhelms the legend late. Expect a violent fight that likely ends with a Ribovics stoppage in the second or third round, or a clear decision if Barboza survives.
The Matchup
This is a classic torch-passing fight between two men who badly need a win. Barboza has dropped three straight and, at 40, is running out of runway, while Ribovics has lost two of his last three but remains one of the division's most exciting pressure fighters. Both men combine for less than one takedown per fight, so expect this one to stay standing from bell to bell. Ribovics wants a high-volume firefight; Barboza wants range, leg kicks and clean counters. Philadelphia fight fans could not ask for a better prelim.

Edson Barboza
“Junior”
Edson Barboza is one of the most spectacular strikers the UFC has ever seen, a Brazilian Muay Thai specialist who has been knocking people out in the Octagon since 2010. His highlight reel includes a wheel-kick knockout of Terry Etim and a flying-knee finish of Beneil Dariush, and his leg kicks are still among the nastiest in the sport. He has shared the cage with legends like Khabib Nurmagomedov, Tony Ferguson, Justin Gaethje and Anthony Pettis. Now 40 years old and riding a three-fight losing streak, the beloved veteran is fighting to prove he still belongs at the top level.

Esteban Ribovics
“El Gringo”
Esteban Ribovics is an all-action Argentine lightweight who fights like every round is the last one, landing over seven significant strikes per minute. He announced himself with a 37-second head-kick knockout of Terrance McKinney and then won one of 2024's wildest brawls against Daniel Zellhuber at the Sphere in Las Vegas. Twelve of his fifteen wins have come by finish, split between knockouts and submissions from his early career in Argentina. He was submitted by elite grappler Mateusz Gamrot last time out, but against a fellow striker he is always must-watch television.
