The result
Esteban Ribovics def. King Green — KO/TKO (punches), R1 4:08
Esteban Ribovics blitzed King Green with three first-round knockdowns to end the veteran's night.
Ribovics floored Green with an extended combination, dropped him again once he returned to his feet, and referee Herb Dean stopped the fight after a third knockdown at 4:08.
The breakdown below was written before the fight.
The read
Both men throw in bunches and both have finished recent opponents, which points toward an entertaining, high-output collision.
Ribovics' younger legs and heavier hands give him the edge if this turns into a firefight, but Green's experience and craft have bailed him out of bad spots for years.
Lean Ribovics on freshness and recent form, with Green's veteran savvy the clearest path to spoiling it.
The matchup
This is volume and experience against volume and youth.
Green has seen every style the lightweight division has to offer across a career that has now spanned more than a decade, and his four-fight win streak shows a veteran still finding finishes late in his career.
Ribovics throws at an even higher rate and has the fresher legs and better recent momentum, coming off a statement knockout of Edson Barboza, but he has been finished by a high-level grappler before and Green has drowned younger strikers with pace in the past.
