The read
Thompson's farewell narrative shouldn't obscure that Radtke is in form and finishes at a real rate, giving him a genuine path to spoil the occasion.
Thompson's striking pedigree and experience against far tougher competition make him dangerous for as long as the fight stays in his preferred range.
A sentimental main-card slot with a live outcome either way.
The matchup
Thompson hand-picked Radtke for what he has called his final UFC fight, closing out a career built on switch-stance karate and point-perfect striking against a hungry fighter riding a two-fight win streak.
Radtke's own finishing rate and recent form make this more than a ceremonial send-off, and a legend's farewell is still a real fight for the younger man's career.
