The read
Both men have finished the bulk of their careers by submission, which makes the opening exchanges on the mat the most dangerous stretch of the fight for either side.
Bashi's recent step up in competition suggests he's trending in the right direction, while Brennan's return to featherweight could sharpen his output after a lightweight-debut loss.
The matchup
This newly added featherweight bout pairs two fighters looking to snap a recent loss.
Bashi's black-belt jiu-jitsu and six submission wins give him a path on the mat, while Brennan's own submission-heavy résumé — eight of his eleven career wins by tap-out — makes any scramble live for both men.
