The read
With so little UFC-level tape on either man, this comes down to whose regional dominance translates faster.
Duclos's knockout power is the more straightforward threat, but Dias's submission game gives him a path if he can get the fight to the mat.
A finish for either man in the opening two rounds is the likeliest outcome.
The matchup
This is a matchup of UFC newcomers with contrasting styles — Dias is a well-rounded finisher with a submission game to fall back on, while Duclos built his Hexagone MMA title reign almost entirely on knockout power.
Both arrive with real finishing rates and little UFC-level game tape on each other, which makes this an old-fashioned striker-vs-finisher gamble for the promotion.
