The read
Silva's UFC experience and finishing power make him the clear favorite in a fight that still carries real finish equity for both men.
Delgado has stopped 10 of his 12 professional opponents, seven of them in the first round, and he is not walking in overwhelmed by the stage even on a compressed camp. Silva's pressure and volume should find him consistently over five rounds, but Delgado's knee and choke finishes mean a moment of carelessness could flip the fight fast.
Lean Silva to find his own finish if his pressure lands cleanly early; a Delgado counter-finish is the fight's clearest path to an upset.
The matchup
Delgado's finishing instincts make this anything but a showcase for Silva, even on short notice.
Silva has stopped 12 of his 17 career wins and returns to a Noche UFC main event after out-working Arnold Allen over three rounds in his last outing, with Rodriguez's late groin-injury withdrawal opening the door for Delgado's step up. Delgado has finished 10 of his 12 professional wins, including seven in the first round and three in under a minute, and rides a three-fight win streak into the biggest assignment of his career.
The gap in UFC experience and five-round conditioning favors Silva, but Delgado's power and choke game are live from the opening bell.
