Gibson is one of the sport's great second-act stories — a former high school history teacher from Visalia, California, who fought in the UFC in 2014-15, spent nearly a decade winning regional titles, then battled back to the big show as a Team McGregor finalist on The Ultimate Fighter 31. A two-time JUCO All-American wrestler who pairs that base with crisp boxing, he owns 22 career wins with a near-even split of knockouts, submissions, and decisions.
