Guilherme "Urso" Uriel is a 29-year-old heavyweight from Mairipora, Sao Paulo, who grew up doing rural farm work with his father before channeling that strength into MMA at Evolution Combat MMA. Nicknamed for the crushing bear hugs he applied as a young jiu-jitsu student, he built a 6-1 regional record through LFA before a first Contender Series appearance ended in a season 9 knockout loss to Josh Hokit in August 2025. He responded with a first-round TKO of Leonardo Fraga at LFA 229 in March 2026, then earned his redemption and a UFC contract by submitting Mario Piazzon with a standing guillotine just 50 seconds into their all-Brazilian heavyweight bout on Dana White's Contender Series in August 2026. Four of his seven career wins have come by knockout and three by submission; both of his losses were by knockout.
