Hamdy Abdelwahab

Hamdy 'The Hammer' Abdelwahab is a 33-year-old Egyptian heavyweight and 2016 Rio Olympics Greco-Roman wrestler who became the first fighter from Egypt to sign with the UFC in June 2022. His UFC debut win over Don'Tale Mayes at UFC 277 was later overturned to a no-contest after a failed drug test, a result not reflected in his official record. Since then he has gone 2-1 in the Octagon, most recently outpointing Chris Barnett over three rounds at UFC 321 in October 2025 after dropping a decision to Mohammed Usman that June. Five of his seven career wins have come by knockout, underlining the one-punch power behind his wrestling base, and he trains out of Killer B Combat Sports Academy.
