Mayton 'The Lion' Perea is a 26-year-old welterweight from Ibarra, Ecuador who trains in Machala with Team DC MMA under coach David Chamaidan, the same camp that produced Michael Morales. An unusually rangy welterweight, he built his career on Ecuador's regional scene, winning the Inka FC title, before knocking out Zevan Hunt in 45 seconds on Dana White's Contender Series in September 2026 to become the fifth Ecuadorian fighter signed to the UFC, following Marlon Vera, Michael Morales, Carlos Vera and Adrian Luna.
