Natalia Silva won the vacant UFC women's flyweight title by unanimous decision over Wang Cong in the main event of UFC 332 at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City on Saturday, the first numbered UFC event ever to air on CBS. The belt was empty going in after champion Valentina Shevchenko withdrew with a back and shoulder injury, handing the division's top contender a title fight on short notice instead of the challenge she had been expecting. Further down the card, Roman Kopylov scored the night's biggest upset, stopping a previously unbeaten Ateba Gautier in the first round.
The main event: Silva takes the belt
Silva built her lead early, dropping Wang with a knockdown and adding a takedown in round two. Wang rallied over the championship rounds — five-round fights are reserved for main events and title bouts — and had stretches of success late, but it wasn't enough to erase the deficit. Judges scored it 48-47, 48-47 and 49-46 for Silva, who becomes the new flyweight champion without ever getting the Shevchenko fight she was originally promised.
Wang, ranked eighth in the division coming in, pushed the pace in the second half of the fight but could never fully swing the scorecards. It's the second time in 2026 that an injury has reshuffled the top of a UFC division's title picture, and Silva now inherits a belt she'll be expected to defend against the winner of the contenders picture behind her.
The co-main: Talbott blitzes Figueiredo
Talbott needed barely two minutes to deal the ninth-ranked Deiveson Figueiredo, a former flyweight champion, his second straight loss. Talbott dropped Figueiredo early with a right hand, hurt him again with a knee, and closed the show with follow-up punches before the referee stepped in at 2:09 of round one.
The win moves the 11th-ranked Talbott into the thick of the bantamweight contender mix. Figueiredo, who built his reputation at flyweight before the move up, now has to answer questions about whether the extra weight has cost him the speed that made him a champion in the first place.
The rest of the main card
Esteban Ribovics def. King Green, KO/TKO (punches), round 1, 4:08. Ribovics dropped the veteran Green three times in the first round, flooring him with an extended combination before referee Herb Dean stepped in after the third knockdown.
Roberto Soldic def. Khaos Williams, decision (unanimous), round 3. Soldic survived an early knockdown — Williams dropped him twice in round one — before rallying with a head kick and sustained ground-and-pound from full mount that earned a 10-8 on two scorecards. He closed the show with a third-round takedown and more punishment to win his UFC debut 29-28, 29-27 and 29-27.
Roman Kopylov def. Ateba Gautier, KO/TKO (punches), round 1, 3:12. Kopylov controlled range behind jabs and kicks, baited the previously unbeaten Gautier into overextending, then dropped him with a straight left and a follow-up right before finishing with ground-and-pound. It was the clearest upset of the night against a fighter who had never lost as a professional.

The card's quickest finish belonged to Anthony Wint, a former NFL linebacker who needed just 23 seconds to blow through fellow undefeated debutant Lucas Armand, improving to 9-0 and 2-0 in the UFC. Marcus McGhee, ranked 15th at bantamweight, dropped short-notice debutant Anthony Romero with a jab before closing the show with ground strikes in the final seconds of round one. Johnny Walker made an immediate statement in his move up to heavyweight, catching Mick Parkin with a flush knee in the clinch for a first-round finish.
Alexander Hernandez's speed was too much for a returning Rafael dos Anjos, who hadn't fought in two years; Hernandez dropped him with a jab in round two and finished on the mat. Ismail Naurdiev handed Marvin Vettori a fifth straight loss by chewing up his lead leg with kicks and grinding out a clean 29-28 sweep, while 41-year-old Court McGee announced his retirement after Eric Nolan closed the show late in round three — a fitting final chapter after 22-15 across a long UFC tenure.
What it means
Silva's win settles a flyweight title picture that Shevchenko's injury had thrown into limbo, though it comes with an asterisk: she never got the fight she originally signed up for. Talbott's blitz of a former champion is the clearest statement of the night and pushes him toward the front of a crowded bantamweight contender line, while Kopylov's finish of an unbeaten opponent is the kind of result that can reshape a middleweight resume overnight.
